Jeiko Preparing To Visit Nekomi Tech

"Alright girls, time to lay off the hormones and get off of my fiancé." Lind grumbled at the pile of lust-filled goddesses all stacked up on poor Jeiko's human body. Grabbing pulling all of them off, Lind came across a familiar face in the pile.

"Peorth, I should have known." Lind stated to her childhood friend. "I should've known you would bring all of them here to do this to him."

"Hey, don't blame me." Peorth protested. "You're the one who told the goddesses that Jeiko was free when you cried his name out at the top of your lungs when you witnessed that fight between Jeiko and Troubadour."

Ling gave Peorth a puzzled look and then brought her hand to her forehead with frustrated realization that Peorth was right. When she saw Troubadour get the upper hand and raise his weapon to finish him off, she had cried out Jeiko's name on concern before zooming down to Earth to rescue him. That's how the goddesses learned of his return, and that was why they were all here.

"Well it's time for them to go." Lind sternly stated as she turned her attention to the groupies still piled on her beloved's back. "You hear that girls? The show's over! Get off of him, he's MINE! He's proposed to me twice, and I'm taking him for myself! Now get lost!"

"What?" A goddess with short purple hair gasped. "But Jeiko, I thought you were marrying me?"

"What?" Another goddess protested. "Hey! What do you mean, 'marrying you?' You're not marrying Jeiko, and neither is Lind! I'm the one he's going to marry!"

"That's what you think!" A third goddess cried as she leapt up drawing her weapon gesturing to the other goddesses that she was gearing up for a fight. Watching all this unfold, Lind shook her head in amazement. It didn't matter to them that she was the stronger than all of them put together. When it came to Jeiko Sukaru, virtually all the goddesses wanted him for herself. But using this fight to her advantage, Lind took the opportunity of the goddesses engaging each other to grab Jeiko's hand, pull him out of the pile, and lead him away from the upcoming feud.

Once they were alone again, Jeiko turned to Lind and said, "Whew! Thanks Lind, I was suffocating down there!"

"Oh, sure you were!" Lind playfully mocked. "It looked to me like you were enjoying yourself in there, and who could blame you? After all, a handsome man beloved by many beauteous females all turned into lustful sex-driven animals at the mere sight of you? You must be the luckiest man in the world!" Then Lind made a fake pouty face and continued. "Hey, maybe you don't need me anymore? After all, you've got a buffet of pretty girls to choose from, why don't you settle down with one of them?"

Jeiko knew Lind was teasing him, but he didn't like it just the same. But he knew better than to play along with her and risk further teasing, so he just placed his left arm behind her back, and his right hand of Lind's chest and arched her back holding her in his left arm while one of her feet left the ground.

Surprised by this, Lind blushed a bit as Jeiko replied, "Lind, nobody could ever replace you for me. Not Peorth, not Urd, or any manner of woman or goddess. You, Lind, are the only woman my heart begs and pleads for. It is you and only you that can satisfy the thirst and the hunger of my soul. And only you can sooth and tame my wild side, and lay the animal in me to rest." He stated sweetly as he pulled Lind's face to his own opening his lips slightly.

"I know Jeiko..." Lind whispered gently as she squinted her eyes and placed her hand behind Jeiko's head. "I've waited so long for you to say that to me."

"As I have waited so long to say it..." Jeiko replied as he slowly pulled Lind to himself. Getting closer....and closer....

"HEY!!! JUST WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN JEIKO!!!" Skuld's voice broke in interrupting the moment and getting the attention of the two lovebirds. "Just who do you think you are taking that arm and eye back and going out on the town so early in the morn...."

It was then that Skuld had entered to see Jeiko cradling a blushing Lind in his arms. With the realization that she had entered during a sweet moment between the two, Skuld gave a nervous chuckle and began blushing nervously.

"Um, s-s-sorry you two." Skuld apologized shyly.

"No, that's alright Skuld." Lind replied leaping out of Jeiko's embrace and grabbing the dial below Jeiko's shoulder.

"Huh? Hey Lind, what are you doing?" Jeiko protested.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" Lind replied. "I'm removing your arm, so that I can give it back to Skuld, so she can make a more advanced model."

With that, Lind turned the dial and the arm came loose from the plate below Jeiko's shoulder that kept it attached to his organic upper arm. She then twisted it separating it from the plate and handed it to Skuld. Then she brought her hand to Jeiko's face and said, "Okay dear, give."

"I beg your pardon?" Jeiko asked confused.

"Your eye, give it to me so that Skuld can study it."

"Actually I won't be needing that at this time." Skuld piped up. "The main thing here is to get this arm ready. The eye will be easy, so let's get the more advanced stuff out of the way first."

Nodding, Lind then turned back to Jeiko as Skuld left the room excitedly thinking about what all she was going to put in this new arm. Particularly making more advanced weaponry for Jeiko.

After Skuld had left, Lind smiled to Jeiko and said, "C'mon dear, I saved some breakfast for us!"

"Where are the others?" Jeiko asked.

"In the kitchen. They've already eaten, and are waiting for us."

"Well then let's go!" Jeiko cried. "After all, I have been wearing that energy sapper for a few hours. As such, I'm STARVING!!!"

A few seconds later, Jeiko and Lind had entered the kitchen only to find Urd there.

"Hey Urd, where are Keiichi and Belldandy?" Lind asked.

"They left to get ready to go to school." Urd replied. "Apparently the Nekomi Tech Auto Club is gearing for another upcoming race, and require the presence of Belldandy and Keiichi."

"Well then, perhaps I can lend a hand after my meal?" Jeiko offered. "After all, despite their unquestionable knowledge of car construction, I probably know more than they do."

"No doubt." Urd nodded. "You HAVE seen all the advancements of humanity for the past 500 years."

"Yes indeed." Jeiko nodded. "So let's eat, and then I'll hop on Shrouda and leave to see them on campus."

With a nod, Lind brought out two plates of Belldandy's home cooking. With several mouthfuls, Jeiko sighed sadly and stated, "I sure am going to miss this good food when we move to our new place."

"New place?" Lind asked. "Jeiko, what are you talking about?"

"Well, while I was out searching for training weapons, I stumbled across a small weapon's shop run by a sick old man named Ruka. Well, using the bio-scanner installed in my eye, I discovered his illness and took pity on him. So I gave him all the gold and jewels I kept on me during my imprisonment in that crystal and told him to take them all and see a doctor."

"What?" Lind gasped. "J-J-Jeiko...that...that...that's so generous of you!"

"And that's why Ruka decided to leave the shop to me." Jeiko answered. "He claimed that he was trying to save up to move into a nice retirement home, but with business being wrecked with robbers and his illness driving people away, that was becoming hard. But thanks to my generous gift, he can now move in there. And he left the shop to me, along with the upstairs two-person apartment above that shop."

"So you found us a place to live and a way to earn money all in one act of kindness." Lind smiled.

"Yes and that's not it." Jeiko replied reaching behind his back. "He also gave me a particular item that has much importance to me."

As Lind looked at the object in question, she dropped her glass in surprise.

"Oh, my gosh! Your sister's sword!" She gasped.

"Yes." Jeiko nodded. "I thought I'd never see it again."

"I looked for it for awhile after you were captured." Lind sobbed. "I wanted it as a keepsake of you, and now you have it back."

Jeiko nodded, and wiped his mouth politely as he rose. He then turned to Lind and asked, "Well dear, shell we go?"

"Alright, just call out Shrouda and let's go." Lind replied.

"Yes, let me get my arm so I can activate the function that summons her. Also I don't want to go there with just one arm."

"Hold on." Lind replied. "You DO need an arm, but Skuld needs your arm to study. So here." Lind reached into some luggage she brought back from Heaven and pulled out another mechanical arm. An arm that was covered in flesh colored plaster and was simpler than the other.

"One of my old prototype models." Jeiko realized.

"Yes." Lind nodded. "When I couldn't find your sister's sword, I brought this from Earth to Heaven with me. I thought it might come in handy. It's not as strong as the one you were wearing, and have fewer weapons, but it still packs a pretty mean punch my human standards. And it can still summon Shrouda."

With that, Lind snapped the arm onto Jeiko's arm plate and it held in place. Then the two left to the courtyard to see that the peanut gallery of goddesses had left when they realized Jeiko wasn't around anymore. With a giggle, Jeiko activated the function in his arm that summoned his winged steed and Shrouda appeared form the void.

"Hello Shrouda." Lind sobbed at the sight of the great black raven-winged horse that she hadn't seen in five centuries while petting her neck.

Nuzzling back affectionately, Shrouda stepped down to allow her master to climb on her back. As soon as he was on, Jeiko held his hand to Lind offering to help her up. Looking at the proffered hand, Lind smiled sweetly and took it allowing Jeiko to lift her on Shrouda's back. As soon as she was on, she wrapped her arms around her beloved's waist and Jeiko gave a smile.

"Alright Shrouda, use you magic to mask your wings." Jeiko ordered. "These people have never seen a real winged horse, and you might frighten them."

Nodding, Shrouda masked her wings to turn them invisible. And then Jeiko gave a gentle heel to Shrouda's side and they galloped onward to Nekomi Tech.
How romantic! But is this the calm before the storm? Can a man who lived in Feudal Japan really blend in with modern folk? And how will everybody receive him? Tune in next time!
